Mrs. Amna Bibi belongs to the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a remote and underdeveloped region of Pakistan. She is pursuing a PhD in Chemistry through the prestigious Cambridge International Scholarship and is currently conducting her research in the Wheatley Research Group at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. She earned her M.Phil. in Chemistry with Distinction (CGPA 4.0/4.0) from the University of Science and Technology Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, where she was also awarded Gold Medals for achieving first position in both her BSc and MSc degrees. During her Master’s degree, she was honoured with Student of the Year, the HEC Need-Based Scholarship, and the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme Award. Upon completing her master’s degree, she secured a position as a Lecturer in Chemistry in the Higher Education Department KPK through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. In addition, she served part-time as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology, Bannu. During this period, she published multiple research papers in reputable journals.

Her current research focuses on developing eco-friendly, low-cost, and portable sensors for the detection of toxic ions and biomolecules in water, with potential applications in environmental monitoring and healthcare diagnostics.
